A reflection of our contemplative consecrated

life…

As this website is our main contact with the digital world, we want it, in some way, to reflect the characteristics of our Carmelite life to the world. We hope that the text and photos that we have chosen to share with you illustrate the richness of our way of life, and our love for Jesus, Mary, St Joseph, our Carmelite saints, the Church and the world. This site is designed, built and maintained completely by the Sisters of the community. We are not professionals, and so we have kept the site simple in design. We like having the ability to update and maintain the site ourselves, so that we are in more direct contact with you, our visitors. Of course, having a presence in the digital world means that we must adhere to various laws about privacy and data protection. This has been a steep learning curve, and we are still learning more. We want our website to be compliant in every possible way, so that you can browse safely and securely. Finally, working on this website is a reflection of our Carmelite approach of being “hermits in community”. Computer work is by nature solitary, but we meet and dialogue with each other to plan and share our skills and expertise. In community, everyone’s talents are valuable! Where one Sister is good at text, another is better at photographs and another with technical aspects!! Enjoy browsing our site, and may God bless you and all your loved ones.
